The definition of strive is to make great efforts to obtain or achieve something. What great efforts are you making to achieve and obtain your career goals?
Achieving success and accomplishing your goals starts with effort. But the key is putting in a great effort, putting in maximum effort, and doing the hard work. There is no substitute for effort and hard work.
If you strive to reach your career goals and dreams, it means you are putting forth great effort. If you are not putting forth the great effort, you are not striving to achieve your goals, you are simply wishing for luck to happen.
Take a moment over the next several days and honestly assess yourself and ask, “Am I striving, or am I wishing?” Those who strive to achieve success and their goals will not only conclude that they are putting forth great effort, but they can also give specific examples of how. Remember, you do not have to justify it to anyone, you must satisfy the toughest critic in the room, yourself!
